Pocket pets and exotics deserve the same high level of care as any other companion animal. We are happy to see rabbits, hamsters, and other small pets. These little buddies make fun companions but require regular care and attention to stay healthy. They can also carry diseases, so proper handling and hygiene are essential.
Many of these pets need very specific environments to thrive, and it’s important to have a veterinarian experienced in their care.
We understand that visiting the vet can be stressful for our patients, especially exotics and pocket pets. We are sensitive to this and strive to reduce stress during your visit.
If possible, bring your pet in its regular enclosure. Avoid cleaning it before the visit so your pet is surrounded by familiar smells. The enclosure will also retain samples for diagnostic testing, if needed, to better evaluate your pet.
